Upon arrival in Athens, you will be met by your Tour Manager. Transfer to your hotel and check in and relax/wash up. Dinner at local restaurant followed by a brief walking tour in the Plaka with your Tour Manager.

Day 3: Saturday, June 26, 2010 ATHENS B, D
Sightseeing (approx. 3 hours) with a local guide features the spectacular Acropolis and the Parthenon, which dominates the city and stands as a powerful and impressive memorial to the remarkable civilization that built it. You will also enjoy a visit to the exciting new Acropolis Museum. The afternoon is free for strolling the Plaka. Late this afternoon you will participate in liturgical services at a local church. After dinner at a local restaurant, you’ll perform your first concert (venue in Athens, to be confirmed by end of February, pictures shown at March 31 meeting), possibly at 9:30pm.

Day 4: Sunday, June 27, 2010 ATHENS B, L, D
Enjoy a cruise with lunch included to the islands of Hydra, Aegina and Poros in the Saronic Gulf. Dinner at a local restaurant.  The cruise will be all-day, from about 8:00am to about 8:00pm.

Day 5: Monday, June 28, 2010 DELPHI/OVERNIGHT FERRY B
Drive to mythical Delphi (2.5 hours), home of the great oracle of Apollo. Explore the Archaeological Museum of Delphi and visit the Temple of Apollo. Continue to Patras (2 hours) to board the overnight ferry at approximately 5:30pm with an arrival at 6:30am on Tuesday.

Day 6: Tuesday, June 29, 2010 SORRENTO B, D

Enjoy the calm waters of the Mediterranean as you cruise toward the heel of Italy and the port of Bari. Travel through the olive groves across Southern Italy to Sorrento (4.5 hours).  Currently negotiating a concert in Sorrento this evening.

Day 7: Wednesday, June 30, 2010 ROME B, D
Visit the excavated city of Pompeii (1 hours from Sorrento) with a local guide. Nearby Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD and buried the city in ash. What we have today is a perfect picture of life as it was nearly 2,000 years ago. Continue to the Eternal City, Rome (3 hours). After dinner at a local restaurant, enjoy a walking tour with your Tour Manager in the Piazza Navona area this evening.

Day 8: Thursday, July 1, 2010 ROME B, D
Today's sightseeing tour introduces you to every phase of Rome's history with a panoramic drive of the city. In addition, your local guide accompanies you through the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel, and continues to St. Peter's Basilica, giving commentary via personal headsets. You’ll participate in liturgical services at St. Peter’s today (mass is at 5:00pm).  Tonight, enjoy a pizza dinner, Roman style.

Day 9: Friday, July 2, 2010 ROME B, D
Morning visit to the Catacombs. Free afternoon for shopping and independent sightseeing. After dinner at a local restaurant, you’ll perform your final concert in a small town outside of Rome, Gallicano.
